This list will be updated frequently, since mods for Skyrim can come and go very quickly. We’ll also try to stay away from the obvious stuff: official patches, weapons and armor, etc. If we like a mod, we’ll add it to the list. If we don’t like a mod, we’ll leave it out. If you want something else, just drop us a comment.
Skyrim isn’t exactly known for its graphical fidelity, but that doesn’t mean you should ignore it. If you’re looking for some serana mods to get you started, this guide is for you.
Serana appeared in the first Skyrim DLC (Dawnguard) and quickly became a fan favorite. That’s partly because she’s one of Dragonborn’s most dedicated supporters in the game, but also because she was played by the talented, award-winning Laura Bailey. The information about Seran is very profound. And their story is one that every player should learn. She is tough and vulnerable at the same time. She is also a very practical follower with her one-handed weapons, destructive abilities, blood magic and sorcery enabling the Dragonborn to get themselves out of any difficult situation. But let’s say you want to develop Serana beyond the classic gameplay. Here are the best mods we could find to enhance your experience with this incredible character. Message: All mods listed here are compatible with Skyrim Special Edition (SSE).
10. Serana Pandorable
Serana’s appearance stands out from the rest. Just look at the screenshots of the mod to see that it’s a really unique look. But if that’s not for you, there is an option to get a separate trailer so you can choose a mod that looks different for Serana.
9. Serana cap
Serana’s infamous hood always pops up when she’s out during the day. The story makes sense because vampires don’t really like sunlight. But the nature of the game has its pitfalls. Some players find it awkward when she already has a head covering that is removed in favor of a hood. But here’s a mod to fix that. You need to make two simple decisions: Remove the hood completely, or don’t wear it if she’s already wearing a head covering. Isn’t it great when fashion gives us a choice?
8. Serana extension
I’ve already mentioned that Serana is excellent in combat, but her artificial intelligence still falls short in some areas, which may frustrate some players. But Serana’s acquisition clarifies all that. This mod specifically prevents her from acting like Lydia and setting traps, even when sneaking around or luring enemies. It also changes his magic resistance and his magic power, giving him an advantage in battle. These extra assets really play to their strengths and make them more effective in battle, while taking away moments of frustration. Probably a must have mod if you use Serana in your walkthrough.
7. Seran Vampire Lord
Want to add vampires to your game? With this custom mod, Serana gains the ability to turn into a Vampire Lord during a fight. This keeps him fully compatible with the story, but also gives him a real advantage in combat. Surprisingly (for some reason) this feature is not in the vanilla game, as you as the player can become one, and his father can also change into this guise.
6. Flap from Serana to
If you stand next to Serana in the game, you will hear her speak at some point: Yes? What do you need? And she’ll say it again and again. Wouldn’t it be great if you could get her to stop doing that? I have some good news: Your application has been approved. People keep praising the guy who made this mod, just because he feels so much better. But that’s not all! They also have the ability to remove some of their repetitive dialogue, which some players sometimes find annoying.
5. Queen of the Damned – Deadly Serana
If you’re not happy with Serana’s fighting skills, Queen of the Damned will completely redesign them for you. Serana’s default magic abilities have been completely removed by this mod. But instead, you get more powerful and story-driven attacks. These attacks include a vampire missile attack, a paralysis spell, a bat disguise spell, a gargoyle summoning, and the mod even replaces its standard elven dagger with a completely unique sword called Coldharbour’s Daughter. If you want Serana to hit hard in battle and stay true to her character, keep this in mind.
4. Serana Dialogue Edit
As mentioned earlier, Serana is one of the game’s most dedicated followers. Indeed, many unique interactions occur when we work together. This makes it much more real than most other NPC stories about the guardhouse or the Cloud District. And with this mod, Serana now gets even more dialogue points and shining relationships. And he even extends their interaction in the Dragonborn and Hearthfire DLCs. Everything is always said by Laura Bailey, it’s just all caught in a pool of unused dialogue. Some bugs have been fixed here too. And in case you haven’t heard: Bugs in Bethesda’s games are pretty normal. But this mod should definitely be installed if you’re looking for more goodness from Serana.
3. Marry Me Serana
Much to everyone’s chagrin, Serana will refuse a vanilla proposal even if you cure her of her vampirism. The Vanilla game doesn’t let you marry her. But don’t let it hold you back any longer, because (yet again) the modders are ready to save the day. With this mindset, you and Serana can tie the knot of love now and forever. There’s nothing complicated about that either. Just install the mod, and you will just be allowed to marry her, just like any other NPC with the ability to marry. So go get them, you hopeless romantic.
2. Serana Dialogue Add-On
Serana is already one of the most realistic NPCs in Skyrim. But with this extra dialogue, you can take it to the next level. When you install it, you have access to all of her dialogue (again, all lines are voiced by Laura Bailey). In addition, you will get new and completely original lines, executed by Kerstin Unger. Serana will have brighter dialogue for fights, quests, and the environment in general. Not to mention that there will be more dialogue about the interactions between the characters, romantic dialogue, and that’s another thing: She even sings! A lot of work has also been done to make this mod compatible with Serana Dialogue Edit. At the time of writing this article, it’s not ready yet, but honestly, it’s worth giving this mod a try. It means a lot more than you think.
I can say that this is by far the best Serana appearance mod for Skyrim. This is a complete visual recreation of the character that really makes her look as good as she deserves. Not to mention that this mod is completely self-contained, nothing else is needed. All previous versions of the story of this mod are also available. So you can choose the view you like best (just drag your mouse to see what appears).
I recommend you take the time to read the description (it’s very long), as it contains many details and tips on how to customize Serana to your liking. And try to take the time to explore the extra mods listed in the description. These other additions explore custom hair, body, and armor styles that can further enhance your experience with Serana.
