What good is an open-world adventure if the characters aren’t interesting?
Even in post-apocalyptic worlds like Horizon: Zero Dawn (2017) and TLOZ: Breath of the Wild (2017), it’s the people that make it worthwhile to explore.
Characters are crucial in games like Night City, which are situated in heavily populated metropolitan sprawls. It is no longer sufficient to have a few essential characters. Instead, you’ll need merchants, cops, adversaries, and a varied population to bring the concrete jungle to life.
In Cyberpunk 2077, there are a lot of interesting non-player characters, yet modders are never content.
Here are some great NPC modifications you can download right now, whether you want to clean up the appearance of story-relevant individuals or make crowds more realistic.
10. Rogue Forever Young
Humans have an unshakeable belief that one day, we will be able to stop aging for good – but will we be able to do it by 2077?

This add-on makes Rogue Amendiares, the renowned fixer, appear as youthful as she did in the 2020s. She already has a youthful appearance for someone who is thought to be over 80 years old, but this takes it to a new level.
You must determine if she has really stopped aging or has just replaced her whole face with prosthetics.
9. Johnny Silverhand Glitch Effect Removal
The glitchy visual effect visible on Johnny Silverhand’s model whenever he’s on-screen reveals his identify as a cyborg ghost.
Is it realistic? It’s practical, but is it realistic?
Rather of being projected out into the world, much of what we see of Johnny is represented within your character’s mind. Why would they seem to be on a screen?
Plus, it’s the year 2077!

Many important characters’ wardrobes are somewhat altered by modder xBaebsae’s NPC Appearance Mod. Johnny will be shown wearing the Samurai jacket, Panam will be experimenting on different shirts, and Vik will be seen without his spectacles for the first time.
It’s not a full makeover of every character, but in open-world sandbox games, any variety is a gain.
7. Shirtless Vik Vektor
Viktor Vektor, a seasoned ripperdoc with a great work ethic and more than a soft spot for V, is one of the most unexpectedly popular characters in Cyberpunk 2077.
It was only a matter of time after spending so much time tearing people apart (to create space for implants), that he took off his own shirt.
And, of course, this documentary gets torn to shreds.
His chiseled abs will look great in the dim light of his workshop, and at the very least, his gleaming biceps will keep you occupied while he works on your new cyberware.

Since Assassin’s Creed II established crowds a crucial element of any genuine open-world city, I’ve watched developers attempt to perfect crowd behavior over and over again.
In Cyberpunk 2077, there’s a wide range of random NPCs.
Their ostensibly complicated procedures, however, will not withstand scrutiny. If you stay in the same spot for a few minutes, you’ll see them walking in circles.
By cycling through NPCs more often, modder TemplarGFX enhances the appearance of a live, breathing metropolis, giving the impression of many more people walking through Night City’s bustling streets.
5. Misty Appearance Overhaul
One aspect of Cyberpunk 2077 that I dislike is the seeming absence of goth females.
I understand that cultures grow and develop throughout time, but if Misty can dress up like a glam rocker, Night City should have at least one goth girl.
Creator Smorris2012 solves the problem by transforming Misty into the goth babe we’ve always wanted.
Given that she’s a new-age spiritualist, I believe her appearance is appropriate.
Dark lipstick and strangely comfortable-looking goth clothing took me to a period when goth beauties were all the rage and appeared in almost every game or teen-oriented media. That was back in the day.
4. Judy Alternate Faces and Hair
Only personalizing your companion to your particular preferences is better than picking who your character attempts to seduce.
If only it existed in the real world.
Judy lvarez may now have a variety of different looks and hairstyles thanks to this mod by Seracen.
You can even alter Judy’s skin tone, which means turning her into pure gold or covering her completely in chrome.
3. Judy’s Face Beautified – 4K
Consider Koralina’s better rendition of Judy’s face for something less dramatic (but still attractive).
This optimistic young lady makes time for her skincare regimen even while working as a competent technician. Nothing can be hidden at 4K resolution.
Judy may have adorable freckles or skin that is as smooth as a K-Pop singer’s, depending on your preferences.
2. Companion Mod
What good is an open world if you don’t have anybody to share it with?
When Catmino developed the Companion Mod, which allows V to invite anybody to travel and battle with them, regardless of their prior connection, he must have been lonely.
It’s like playing a pen-and-paper RPG character with maximum charm.
When an army of merchants, story-relevant characters, and even their own mind-controlled colleagues marches into Arasaka’s land, not even the well-trained cyber-enhanced troops will know what to do.

You’ll need to extend your influence over the game environment if you truly want to unleash Cyberpunk 2077’s potential as a sandbox to make your futuristic anarchy fantasies come true.

It offers you near-complete power over everyone in your vicinity, from their appearance to their daily lives.
You may stun or overload any NPC, set them on fire, or make them commit suicide by choosing from a variety of looks.
Conveniently, this technology also works on automobiles, allowing you to select from any of the many supercars strewn around Night City.
