The Next Battlefield Is Indeed Set In The Near Future
In the new Battlefield one, we’ll be fighting a new kind of battle. One that will take place not in the Middle East, but in the streets of small towns in America and Europe. At this time, the battlefield is indeed set in the near future. Though there are many factors that may delay or push back the launch of this now-funded project, but the game itself is still on track to being released in the first quarter of next year.
For as long as we can remember, video games have been a popular form of entertainment. Whether its the Call of Duty series, Grand Theft Auto or any other game that is of interest to us, gaming has helped shape the entertainment industry as we know it. With the evolution of virtual reality technology, the gaming industry is set to take yet another leap forward.
After 1942 and 2142, it was only a matter of time before DICE and Electronic Arts released 2042, and for them 42 really seems to be the answer.
The game we have been calling Battlefield 6 or Battlefield so far has been christened and announced by the publisher, and as such we have learned that it will be a cross-gen game that will not include a solo campaign….. So we’ll see a repeat of 2015’s Star Wars: Battlefront, which doesn’t necessarily bode well. We present a review of the game by Electronic Arts : Battlefield 2042 is a first-person shooter that marks the return of the franchise’s signature over-the-top action. Adapt to the not-so-distant future in a world of chaos and conquer dynamically changing battlefields with your team and the latest arsenal.
With a 128-player capacity, Battlefield 2042 offers unprecedented scale on massive battlefields across the globe. Players will face a number of significant challenges, from revamped multiplayer modes like Conquest and Breakout to the all-new Danger Zone. The United States and Russia are on the brink of war. Proxy wars have been fought for decades, producing experienced but displaced combat veterans. These professionals use their skills to shape the future – a future worth fighting for. Battlefield 2042 features seven giant maps for 128 players. From the cities of Seoul to the deserts of Egypt, each map offers a unique experience based on its natural surroundings. Adjust weapons, gadgets and vehicles in battle to tip the balance in your favour. Summon a robot dog designed for combat, use a grappling hook or don your own costume with wings.
Choose your role on the battlefield and build units that suit you with the new specialist system. Based on the four Battlefield classes, specialists have a unique specialty and trait, but the rest of the equipment is fully customizable, the publisher writes. However, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game will only allow for 64 players. 128 is out of the question. If you pre-order the game, you get access to the open beta test, a Baku ACB-90 knife, an epic from Mr.B. and a copy of the game. A Chompy weapon amulet, a Landfall player card base, and an Old Guard token. Battlefield 2042 costs $60 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, while the PlayStation 5/Xbox Series versions cost $70. The Gold Edition ($90 on PC, $100 on consoles) gives you early access to the game’s launch, a first season pass (four new specialists, one per season, four Battle Passes, and three epic skin sets [Blister Earth, Tempest, and Cold Blood]).
There are also cross-gen kits on consoles. For example, if you buy the game on PlayStation 5, you’ll also get it on PlayStation 4. The Ultimate Edition ($110 on PC, $120 on consoles) also gets you the Midnight Ultimate Bundle (Shadow Stalker legendary outfit, Obsidian legendary weapon skin, and Onyx legendary vehicle skin), an official digital artbook, and an exclusive digital soundtrack.
Since they mention the scarcity of skins, we can’t wait to see what else will be in the game. Four classes: Assault, Support, Genius and Pathfinder. Cards? Kaleidoscope – South Korea, Manifesto – Singapore, Orbital – Guyana, Hourglass – Qatar, Rupture – Antarctica, also India and Egypt. Battlefield 2042 comes out on the 22nd. October for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC (Origin, Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Early access begins on the 15th. October. Gameplay will be revealed at the Microsoft/Bethesda E3 conference. The game will likely have a cross-play system, as well as some sort of free-to-play component. Artificial intelligence robots in play, guaranteed. Source: Gematsu
