Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster Launch Trailer Released

Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster was announced on Friday, and Atlus released a trailer for their upcoming RPG remake.

When you look back at the PS2 (or PS3), a lot of games have not aged very well. There have been some exceptions, like Final Fantasy VII, but overall the games on the platform have aged terribly. Some games, however, have had a good time living on, and even have aged well. This is the case for Nocturne, which is one of the best games on the original PS2.

It’s finally happening: Nocturne is getting a remake. This time, however, it’s for the PlayStation 4. This remaster of the original Persona 3, which takes place in Tokyo’s Shibuya ward, is scheduled to be released on the same day as the Nintendo Switch version. Both versions will be available on the same day, but at different times. Microsoft will also release a version for the Xbox One and PC, which will be available at the same time as the Steam version, but not the PlayStation 4 version.

To celebrate the release of the game on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam, Atlus West has released the launch trailer for Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster.  After the conjuring of a disembodied apocalypse called Inception, a demonic revolution takes place on the streets of Tokyo. In the world now known as Whirlwind World, players transform into demonic Half-Fend and make themselves useful to the plans of Reason.

The turn-based combat system forces players to exploit their opponents’ weaknesses. Additionally, the demon recruitment system will allow players to recruit demons to fight alongside them. Originally released for PlayStation 2, the JRPG features redesigned 3D models and backgrounds, additional difficulty levels (including an easier mercy mode as DLC), a save-pause feature, Japanese and English dubbing, and an alternate branch with Raidu Kuzunoha. Anyone who joins Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Online this week can now take part in eight new races set on the front lines. While we’re definitely not fans of the 16:9 aspect ratio, we are excited to see Nocturne getting a remaster. The 3DS version was ported by Kratos who did a decent job fixing all the issues with the original and it even featured some of the DLC from the original versions, so this is definitely something to look forward to. The trailer above also shows a few gameplay shots which should give you a bit of a feel for the game, but be warned, it’s obviously not a direct translation of the game but we think it’s a decent preview of what you can expect.. Frequently Asked Questions

Is SMT Nocturne coming to switch?

It’s been a while since Nocturne was first released back in 2001, and now it’s getting revived for the modern generation with the SMT III Nocturne HD remaster. But the question is, will it come with new features, or will the game remain an old-school title? As for those of you still not aware of what SMT Nocturne HD Remaster is all about, this is a spin-off of the popular Shin Megami Tensei series. (Shin Megami Tensei is a series of games that are a cross between role playing games and turn-based RPGs, where the player creates a protagonist and fights enemies with a party of demons.)

When did SMT 3 release?

Back in December 2012, when the SMT III HD Remaster was announced, Atlus and XSEED announced that it will be coming to North America, but since then there has been no updates about the release. Finally, today Atlus and XSEED released a trailer for the game and confirmed that it will be launching this winter, although for the time being, no dates were announced. The trailer also showed that the game will be coming to both the 3DS and the PS Vita along with the 3DS version being able to play on the go. It’s been a long time coming but the wait is over because the trailer has been released for the upcoming HD remake of the original Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne. Of course, this game has been remade by SMT franchise creator Atlus and will be released on Nintendo 3DS on October 30th.

Is Nocturne remaster out?

Nocturne HD Remaster, which will be remastered by developer Atlus, is a JRPG that’s being remastered into a HD, 60FPS version for release on the Nintendo Switch. The game was originally released for the Sega Saturn back in 1999 and it was followed by a sequel. Nocturne HD Remaster will see all of the original graphics upgraded and some new features will be added to the remake. Nocturne Remaster is one of the most anticipated extravaganzas to hit the current generation of consoles. Coming full circle after its PlayStation 2 adaptation, Nocturne Remaster is a remastering of the critically beloved JRPG that was released on the PlayStation 2 in 2003. The game’s developers are promising a complete overhaul of the game’s visuals, with HD art and higher-resolution character portraits to help hit the mark.
