Releases
  • Waialae Country Club: True Golf Classics was released in 1998 for the Nintendo 64 in Japan. In this sports game, developed by T&E Soft, the prestigious Waialae Country Club, Honolulu, Hawaii is the setting. The game only has 18 holes, though each one is masterfully recreated to create a life-like golfing simulation. Alterations to the course have been made after this game was released, so by today’s standards it may not be as faithful of a recreation as it once way (for example, while the course was originally a par 72, it is now a 70).
  • Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls was released in 2004 for the Game Boy Advance in Japan. In this role-playing game remake of the Nintendo Entertainment System’s Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II, developed by Tose, enhanced visuals and sound effects and new features complete the package. In each adventure, guide a quartet of heroes in an epic battle against forces of unspeakable evil; new additions to FFI include a brand new dungeon featuring a series of formidable opponents from later Final Fantasy games.
  • In Japan, Card Hero: Speed Battle Custom was published on DSiWare in 2009. There is no narrative in this card combat RPG by Intelligent Systems; instead, you may fight and create decks using modified rules from Kousoku Card Battle: Card Hero. A Daily Battle is a new feature that allows you to battle a different deck every day, and a Draft Battle Room allows you to test decks without the results being published in your Battle Log. You may also play online versus other players by connecting to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
  • Game & Watch: Chef was released in 2009 for DSiWare in Japan. In this action game, developed by Nintendo, you are a cook, frantically flipping food with your frying pan for as long as you can. Watch out for the pesky cat, trying to put you off by grabbing your food with a fork. Game A features three tasty morsels to juggle, while Game B ups the challenge to four!
  • Game & Watch: Helmet was released in 2009 for DSiWare in Japan. In this action game, developed by Nintendo, you are a builder trying to make your way across a construction site to an office. Problem is, it’s raining tools, and the office is sometimes locked! Try to make your way to safety by dodging the hammers, screwdrivers, pliers and other tools as they fall to the ground. Game B is harder, faster and there are more free-falling tools.
  • In Japan, Pocket Rurubu Hokkaido and Pocket Rurubu Okinawa for DSiWare were launched in 2009. This Nintendo reference program includes a sightseeing trip guide and journal, as well as information from Japanese Rurubu travel guides. Each version includes landmarks and maps of Japan’s many regions and towns, as well as a travel planner and recommendations. During your journey, you may snap pictures and write notes, which you can later attach to the maps and play back as a slideshow anytime you like.
  • In Japan, Puzzle Iroiro: Gekkan Crossword House Vol. 3 was published in 2009 for the Nintendo DSiWare system. Use the clues to input words into the boxes in this puzzle game created by Tose. You type the characters straight into the panels, and you may add notes in the boxes to refer to later if you’re not sure. There are a variety of problems in this book, including conventional crossword puzzles, illustrated crossword puzzles, Sudoku, and more.

  • Twilight Battle teaches good game mechanics in a fun way.

I played Twilight last night, and a lot of the losers are upset since every single one of their losses is a huge land slide. This is why: The characteristics of each type of ship are exaggerated in Twilight Battle. Repairing BBs gives them exceptional endurance, but only if the BB is in good condition…
