I have a question for you all: how long do you wait before you buy a game you have been wanting to play, just because it is a new release? I’ve been playing Necromunda since I came back to it in 2013, so I have a fair amount of knowledge of the rules, and a fair amount of play experience under my belt. I have seen several reviews since then, including the new boxed set, but I have yet to see one that answered my question. I know what the answers are, but I’d like to see it all laid out in one place. In the first edition of the Kill Team book, it is clearly stated that you should expect the campaign to take between one and four weeks. At that pace
Welcome to my new blog. I hope that you enjoy your stay and find something interesting to read. I don’t really know what I am going to do with it, but I imagine I will be writing about both gaming and geeky things (but I will try to avoid the word geek as much as possible).
Necromunda: Hired Gun is out now, which means that eager players can step into the boots of a cybernetically-augmented bounty killer and fill the Hive CIty’s gang members with lots of lead. If you’re still on the fence about purchasing the game, however, you may ask yourself how long it takes to beat. Knowing how many hours you need to put aside in order to complete the first-person shooter’s campaign is quite important. Whether you’re playing through multiple newer releases or finally clearing some of those trapped in the purgatory known as every gamer’s backlog, read on below to learn how long it took us to beat
We spent a total of 11 hours playing through Necromunda: Hired Gun’s campaign, a small chunk of which were dedicated to a handful of secondary missions. The campaign spans 13 missions set in various locations across the Hive City, and you can spend a bit more or less time going through the main story, depending on how thorough you want to be about discovering treasure chests and obtaining the loot within.
Aside from the main story, you also have access to three tiers of side missions issued by Necromunda’s different factions. These send you back to the same levels you completed during the campaign but assign different objectives like retrieving meat, saving people, or killing another faction’s lieutenants. They seem to get constantly refreshed and act as an extra source of money, which could potentially push your playtime well past the 11-hour mark.
That’s everything you need to know about how long it takes to beat Necromunda: Hired Gun. For more on the game, give our review a read. Keep updated on the latest PC Gaming news by following on Twitter, checking out our videos on YouTube, giving us a like on Facebook, and joining us on Discord.
