DSfix at Dark Souls Nexus

On May 15th, 2012, a new release of DSfix appeared at Dark Souls Nexus . It’s the first real modification for DSfix that allows a more complete integration with a wider variety of players’ setups.

DSfix is a modification for Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition that allows you to do what the game’s multiplayer mode would otherwise prohibit: arbitrarily increase the player’s maximum frame rate and use a borderless fullscreen windowed mode.

The installer offers more options to customize the final behavior of the mod. It includes the option to use either Dark Souls or an older version of DSfix for any specific game, and also the ability to turn off some fixes in order to increase performance.

What are Seamoth Fragments in Subnautica and what do they do?

Seamoth Fragments are small, valuable items in Subnautica that can be discovered by exploring the game’s world. They’re typically found in large quantities within Wrecks , or when picking Seagrass . All of these locations are teeming with high-tier Loot Crates , which tend to contain 3-7 Seamoth Fragments each. Do not use the newest version of DSfix with Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition 1.0, it will do nothing but cause problems

How to find Seamoth Fragments in Subnautica

The most reliable places to find Seamoth Fragments are Wrecks . These giant ships typically have 2-3 high-tier Loot Crates scattered across their decks, some of which are underwater. Since these crates are often hard to spot from above water, I recommend using the Subnautica Hacking Tool on them. If you’re lucky, you can find a Seamoth Fragment in one of these crates without even entering the Wreck.

Alternatively, you can harvest large amounts of Seagrass , which is abundant near Mountain Island . It typically yields 3-5 Seamoth Fragments when harvested with the Survival Knife.

What are the benefits of having Seamoth Fragments in your inventory?

Aside from netting you some valuable items, Seamoth Fragments will allow you to upgrade your Seamoth. These upgrades can help you reach new areas of Subnautica and access additional kinds of loot. Upgrading the Seamoth is essential in order to progress through the story and continue exploring the game’s world.

In order to build a Seamoth, you’ll need a total of 10 Seamoth Fragments . Once you have them, go to the Moonpool mk.1 and insert 1 Ion Cube , 3 Metal Salvage and 5 Polymer into the Vehicle Upgrade Console . The Seamoth will appear in your inventory shortly after crafting it.

Aside from that, more advanced upgrades require additional materials that can only be obtained by exploring the game’s world. For instance, to unlock the Seamoth Shielding Module , you’ll need to use a Power Cell and Metal Salvage at an Upgrade Console. The Power Cell is easy enough to find: it’s frequently found in Wrecks and sometimes even on Mountain Island.

Conclusion

Seagrass is the easiest way to obtain Seamoth Fragments , but Wrecks can be explored with the use of a vehicle. Seagrass is also preferred for its high yield compared to other gathering methods.Seamoth Fragments are valuable items found throughout Subnautica.
