As the infamous Korean solo queue legend, Ashe, is one of the best ARAM (All Random All Mid) champions in the game, and she is quick to adapt to any new trends in the meta. But which of her skins is better? Which one is the best? Which one should you be using at any given time? Let us help you decide that…

It seems that only the new champs are receiving attention these days.

So, in honor of a genuine OG whose skin lineup reads like a Riot Games schedule, we’re taking a look at Ashe and rating her greatest skins.

And for this list, we’re considering both the aesthetics of each skin and the pricing – with a dash of personal taste thrown in for good measure.

12. Woad Ashe

Woad Ashe Skin Splash

Released: July 18th, 2010
Price: 520 RP

We’ll start with Woad, my least favorite Ashe skin.

I see what they were aiming for here, since an archer character would appear to be a natural fit for the wilderness hunter concept. But I believe it totally misses the point.

Although the splash image conveys the message, the in-game model seems like a poor Chroma.

Many of Ashe’s skins are simple, but this one is the worst in my opinion. Especially considering there’s another skin that does a far better job with a similar concept.

11. Queen Ashe

Queen Ashe Splash ArtReleased: October 21st, 2010
Price: 975 RP

This skin is just not worth the money. I understand it’s an ancient heritage skin, but the in-game model seems like it’s been given a terrible makeover.

The outfit is simple and attractive, but nothing about Ashe’s skin shouts “Queen,” so she seems to be attending a dinner party.

When you’re playing a game, that aesthetic simply seems weird.

Although I still prefer it over Woad Ashe, the greater price prevents it from climbing higher in our rankings.

10. Amethyst Ashe

Amethyst Ashe Skin SplashReleased: November 15th, 2011
Price: 975 RP

Let’s face it: no one likes this skin, but I believe it’s OK.

At the end of the day, it’s simply another color change. However, I believe it to be acceptable.

Her bow has a very good basic design, and her overall model looks suitable for a battlefield. The purple and gold combination helps her stand out a little more, plus her bow has a very nice simple design, and her overall model seems fit for a battlefield.

There isn’t a single topic that this skin is based on either. That’s why so many people appear to despise it.

But, for what it is, I believe it is adequate (although still overpriced).

9. Freljord Ashe

Freljord Ashe Skin SplashReleased: November 20th, 2009
Price: 520 RP

This could easily have been Ashe’s basic skin.

It’s another color change, but this time it’s priced properly.

It features a strong white and gold motif that appears both elegant enough for a queen and functional enough for a Freljord to wear.

But there’s not much more to say about it.

It’s a passable chroma-esque skin that doesn’t price itself as if it were a totally unique design.

8. Championship Ashe

Championship Ashe Skin SplashReleased: October 12th, 2017
Price: 1350 RP

This may be a controversial opinion, but I believe that this skin is not worth the money.

Because the graphics are so boring, the fact that it’s a championship skin is the only thing that makes it interesting.

It’s the same Ashe, except she’s dressed up in some nice armor.

The color selection is excellent, and the particles are spotless. But I don’t believe it’s worth paying 1350 RP for.

It would have risen a few rankings if it had been priced at $975. But, given the circumstances, I just believe that you can do more with less.

7. Sherwood Forest Ashe

Sherwood Forest Ashe Skin SplashReleased: April 8th, 2010
Price: 520 RP

Sherwood Forest Ashe is a great example of achieving more with little.

Yes, this is a really simple skin. However, it pays homage to its subject while staying very low-cost.

It’s an ancient skin, but I believe it’s your best option if you’re seeking for a classic hunter appearance.

The color green dominates her skin, allowing her powers to stand out even more. And the traditional wooden bow is a great match for the entire concept.

I may be alone in this, but I believe it provides excellent value for money.

6. PROJECT: Ashe

PROJECT: Ashe Skin SplashReleased: August 1st, 2016
Price: 1820 RP

Another example of a good skin being overpriced.

The PROJECT skin-line is known for its bangers, but this is not one of them.

Because you won’t be able to see the amazing elements of the skin in action, this is the case.

The dancing animation, as well as some of the idle speech lines, are fantastic. The ability animations, on the other hand, leave a lot to be desired.

With the exception of her E, all of her talents are plain with a sprinkling of sparkles.

My tone would be different if it was 975 RP or even 1350 RP. But, in its current state, it is just not worth the money.

5. Cosmic Queen Ashe

Cosmic Queen Ashe Skin SplashReleased: August 21st, 2018
Price: 1350 RP

This is a pretty basic and well-designed skin, I’ll confess.

There isn’t much space for new animations with Ashe being who she is. However, there are some very great aspects on the skin.

Personally, I like how unique her Q animation is (changing her bow from gold to a deep blue), since I believe it is often missed.

The other animations are subtle, but they go nicely with the concept.

The background animation and a few of the emotes are also quite cool.

Overall, this is a great skin that just needed a bit more oomph to get it to the top of the list.

4. Marauder Ashe

Marauder Ashe Skin Splash Art Released: February 11th, 2015
Price: 750 RP

This skin is really basic, but it gives you a lot of bang for your money.

It just modifies the character model. However, I believe the change is significant enough to warrant consideration.

That, and the fact that it only costs 750 RP.

It provides Ashe some nice-looking combat gear, a crimson cloak, and a Skyrim-style bow while keeping the animations intact.

It isn’t very noteworthy. However, I believe the combination of value and originality qualifies it to compete with the big guys.

3. High Noon Ashe

High Noon Ashe Skin SplashReleased: October 10th, 2019
Price: 1820 RP

This is another skin that made great fit thematically.

Although it isn’t as amazing as some of the other High Noon skins, it is still very impressive.

Particularly when it comes to some of the idol and movement animations.

Ashe now rides a black horse in her home-guard animation (as well as her backup animation), making this skin top 3 material.

The in-game model is also very good, and the E motion blends in well, while the Q, W, and R animations are simple but adequate.

2. Fae Dragon Ashe

Fae Dragon Ashe Skin SplashReleased: October 1st, 2020
Price: 1350 RP

This skin gets it down to a science when it comes to beautiful color palettes.

At first look, it’s clear that this is a recent skin since all of the animations are very bright.

Out of all the Ashe skins, this one boasts one of the best-looking ults: a dragon whirling around your CC delivery.

The chromas, too, are very good for this skin.

My only major criticism is that it isn’t as immediately recognized or memorable as our top choice!

1. Heartseeker Ashe

Heartseeker Ashe Skin SplashReleased: February 14th, 2014
Price: 975 RP

Although some may view this as just another meme skin, I believe it is the greatest value in Ashe’s collection.

The in-game model is very detailed, the splash art depicts Tryndamere as a simpleton, and the in-game motions are immediately identifiable. The ulti, in particular.

What could be more iconic than getting struck by a massive heart arrow from the opposite side of the map as the power of love (and the enemy turret) kills you in three seconds?

All of this is yours for just 975 RP!
